Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza

April 10, 2012, 9:43 a.m.

The 2012 Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza will take place on the 5th, 6th and 7th of May 2012.

Roll up, Roll up, Roll up...Ladies & Gentlemen! It is time once again for the most famous...the most popular...and the most fantastic Victorian Festival in Great Britain - the Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza!

Packed full of Steam Engines and Victorian Musical Organs, Vintage Cars and Costumes, Curiosities & Sideshows; for this Bank Holiday weekend you can virtually travel back in time in this beautiful Victorian Seaside Resort. See Britain's best Town Criers battle it out to bring you the local news the best, see people dressed as they were back in the Victorian days, and give your vote! Find the jugglers, stilt walkers and many more at the Llandudno Extravaganza.

Get to the stages and see a whole host of live performances. Attractions that thrilled many years ago are still just as exciting and appealing today, and many of these are available for your enjoyment at the Extravaganza. In addition, a special double-headed Steam Train (5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe/4965 Rood Ashton Hall) will be visiting Llandudno Railway Station on Saturday 5th May, bringing visitors to the Extravaganza from the Midlands.

Don't miss the Grand Parade which takes place at 1pm every day! It's full of Marching Bands, Victorian Costume walkers (join us in costume), Steam engines and vintage vehicles, Britain’s best Town Criers, stilt walkers, street entertainers, Star Wars characters and more.

On Sunday only, we have the added special attraction of the Shire Horses & Dray from the National Brewery Centre in Burton Upon Trent joining in the Parade!

The Parade will start at the Railway Station at 1pm, then go along Madoc Street, up Chapel Street, turn right along Gloddaeth Avenue to the Promenade, then turn right at the St Georges Hotel and disperse at the main Arena near the Town Hall. Don't miss it!
